IPR Healthcare System, Inc. signed an Affiliation Agreement
with Prairie View A&M University College of Nursing.

Houston, TX, October 1, 2001-IPR Healthcare System Inc. signed an Affiliation Agreement with Prairie View A&M School of Nursing BSN Program. The Agreement, which is part of the A&M Registered Nurse BSN Program, will allow A&M nursing students to obtain clinical experience in home health nursing. This program includes orientation and clinical practice while performing in-home patient visits. Students will also participate in patient case conferences with other providers including other nurses, therapists, aides and medical social workers. The training will allow the student to focus on home health as an integral part of the overall patient care.

IPR's Director of Nursing, Jo Ann B. Jones, RN, BSN, a Prairie View University alumnae, will coordinate the program with Annie Wilson, DR P.H, RN who is the RN-BSN Coordinator for Prairie View University. Jo Ann Jones' 30 plus years experience in nursing education and training will ensure the effectiveness of the program for both the University and IPR.

IPR feels privileged to be involved in this undertaking. The recognition of home health as a part of the nursing program broadens the understanding of home health as an important and legitimate part of patient care. Further, the educational interest in home health increases each home health agency's opportunity to attract professional nurses toward careers in home health.
